According to CCTV News, on 9 August 2020, the Kyrgyzstan Epidemic Prevention Headquarters announced that due to the decrease in imported cases of covid and the spread of covid in Kyrgyzstan, people entering Kyrgyzstan's airports will no longer be tested for SARS-CoV-2. They will not be sent to any centralized isolation point.

The news pointed out that the entrants need to fill out the epidemiological questionnaire, install the Kyrgyz app of the positioning system, and then go home and isolate themselves. If they have symptoms, they need to contact the doctors in the communities in time. At present, Kyrgyzstan has resumed scheduled flights with Turkey and the UAE, and opened irregular charter flights with many countries including Russia.

Kyrgyzstan is the first country to cancel SARS-CoV-2 testing measures in the world.

As of 9 August 2020, Kyrgyzstan has a total number of 39,919 confirmed covid cases, of which 31,822 patients have recovered and discharged and the number of deaths is 1,468.
