On 2 August 2020, Wuhan has three imported confirmed covid cases, all of them Chinese nationals who took the Air China charter flight CA602 from Moscow to Wuhan Tianhe Airport on 30 July.
Confirmed case 1: Female, Shandong nationality, student studying in Russia. Arrived in Wuhan by plane on 30 July. Her temperature was normal when she entered the country, and her independent health declaration was normal. After customs quarantine inspection and sampling, she was transferred to the centralized isolation medical observation point outside Wuhan. On 31 July, her nucleic acid test result was positive, and she was immediately transferred to the city Jinyintan Hospital for isolation and further examination. The nucleic acid result was positive after re-examination, the serum antibody IgM and IgG were negative, and her blood routine was abnormal. After epidemiological investigation, the case had a history of fever and medication in Russia. The expert group made a comprehensive judgment and diagnosed as a confirmed imported case.
Confirmed case 2: Female, Heilongjiang nationality, a student studying in Russia. Arrived in Wuhan by plane on 30 July. Her temperature was normal at the time of entry, and her independent health declaration was normal. After customs quarantine inspection and sampling, they will be transferred to the centralized isolation medical observation point outside Wuhan. On 31 July, her nucleic acid test result was positive, and she was immediately transferred to the city's Jinyintan Hospital for isolation and further examination. Her nucleic acid result was positive after re-examination, and the serum antibody IgM and IgG were negative. After epidemiological investigation, the case had developed fever in Russia and was hospitalized in Russia for isolation and treatment. The expert group made a comprehensive judgment and diagnosed her as a confirmed imported case.
Confirmed case 3: Male, Heilongjiang nationality, a student studying in Russia. Arrived in Wuhan by plane on 30 July. His temperature was normal at the time of entry, and his independent health declaration was normal. After customs quarantine inspection and sampling, they will be transferred to the centralized isolation medical observation point outside Wuhan. On 31 July, the nucleic acid test result was positive, and he was immediately transferred to Jinyintan Hospital for isolation and further examination. The serum antibodies were positive for IgM and IgG. His chest CT showed a few infectious lesions in both lungs. After epidemiological investigation, the case had developed fever in Russia and was hospitalized in Russia for isolation and treatment. The expert group made a comprehensive judgment and diagnosed him as a confirmed imported case.
After flight CA602 arrived in Wuhan, all personnel on the flight implemented closed-loop management measures such as customs quarantine, nucleic acid testing, point-to-point transfer, isolation diagnosis and treatment, and there was no track of self-activity in Wuhan. All relevant staff have taken effective protective measures. The close contacts of the confirmed cases are 198 people on the same flight and 20 crew members. They have been quarantioned at the isolation point for medical observation.
There are no local confirmed covid cases as of 2 August 2020. However, under covid track records of the city on 31 July 2020, the fever clinics of various Wuhan hospitals reported 660 cases of fever.
