In recent days, epidemics have occurred in many places in China, but the news has been tightly controlled. At the same time, many claim that SARS-CoV-2 (covi, CCP virus, novel coronavirus) has been detected on imported frozen food packages. The commentary pointed out that the CCP through China CDC is still dumping the epidemic abroad in its propaganda, but this would mislead the public to ignore the danger.

On 14 November 2020, CCTV News reported that there is a new case of asymptomatic covi infection in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, a 26-year-old Nigerian man. He arrived in Guangzhou by plane on 17 October. After 14 days of isolation, he tested negative for nucleic acid and then flew to Chengdu by plane. However, on 14 November, he reviewed the CCP virus nucleic acid positive and was transferred to a designated hospital for isolation and treatment.

A video posted on Twitter by netizens on 14 November showed a large crowd of people in Lanzhou, Gansu queuing for nucleic acid testing. The inspectors are wearing protective clothing but the people only wear masks.

In the afternoon of 13 November, the Shandong Jinan Epidemic Prevention and Control Department also suddenly asked the Gaijiagou area to conduct a nucleic acid test overnight, claiming that the frozen food and packaging specimens imported from the Gasgoo Logistics Park tested positive for the CCP virus. The video posted by netizens showed that nearby residents had to undergo nucleic acid testing overnight, and many schools in Jinan were also required to conduct accounting testing overnight.

In Hubei Province, where the CCP virus outbreak first broke out, the epidemic situation is also escalating. Hubei Qianjiang City Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters urgently notified an asymptomatic infected person on 11 November. The next day Huanggang Luotian County declared that it had entered a wartime state of the epidemic. After that, the official did not make any further announcement, which caused local people to worry.

The covid epidemic has seen a second wave of outbreaks in Europe and the United States, but the epidemics in various parts of China are usually reported when the first confirmed patient appears, and then gradually low-key. In the absence of targeted drugs and vaccines, many places have claimed to have achieved "zero increase" in confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections. For example, in Kashgar, Xinjiang, 138 asymptomatic infections surged in a single day a few weeks ago, and the source of the outbreak has not been identified. However, on 9 November, the Xinjiang Party Committee claimed that the local epidemic had reached "zero new infections."

Dr. Tian Yuan, a commentator on current affairs in the United States, said, "All these signs actually show that the virus has not disappeared in mainland China. Unless the CCP has some kind of antidote in its hands, it should continue to exist, and it is like The situation in Europe and America is the same, and it should continue to erupt."

However, the new cases reported recently on the official website of the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China are all so-called "imported cases."

Lan Shu, a commentator on current affairs in the United States, "I think the CCP has always pushed the source of the epidemic abroad. On the one hand, it conceals the CCP’s own fraud in past epidemics, and on the other hand, it diverts attention to make the Chinese people feel that it is the safest in China."

In addition, many places in China have recently claimed that the CCP virus has been detected on imported frozen packaging.

Reuters said on 15 November that the Jinan authorities of the Communist Party of China said last weekend that covi was found in beef, tripe and their packaging in Brazil, Bolivia and New Zealand. In addition, Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, and Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, also claimed that the CCP virus was found on pork packaging imported from Argentina.

Last week, the CCP also claimed that the virus was found on the packaging of Argentine beef in Shandong and Jiangsu, and on the packaging of Brazilian beef in Wuhan.

Tian Yuan, "Why does the CCP claim that the virus was discovered on these imported goods, but there is no report in the world that these imported goods have caused covid? From this point, everyone can see that this is completely it is a trick played by the CCP. It is dissatisfied with any country, for example, it is dissatisfied with New Zealand and Australia, and it can claim that it has found covi on goods imported from New Zealand and Australia."

Current affairs commentator Lan Shu said, "The CCP is basically consistent in its propaganda, saying that this epidemic is foreign, and a small number of migrant workers have brought some epidemics back. There is basically no problem in China. So the whole Chinese people have been brainwashed and feel that there is basically no problem with this epidemic. The so-called 'trust the government and the party', right? They didn't realize the danger was right in front of them."

A video posted by netizens showed that on 14 November, a middle-aged man suddenly fell to the ground and convulsed in the parking lot of a community in Liaoyuan, Jilin Province. It was very similar to the symptoms of a covid patient but the residents passing by saw him and laughed loudly. A similar scene appeared on a street in Chongqing on 15 November, and the onlookers did not even wear masks.

Frequent cold chain environment infections, large investigations in many places!

Cold chain shrimp, frozen beef, frozen pork... In just a few days, many provinces in China frequently exposed the novel coronavirus nucleic acid positive in the cold chain environment.

At present, the global epidemic is still raging, and the northern hemisphere has entered autumn and winter again, and China's foreign defense input pressure has increased sharply. In order to prevent the "cold-chain transmission" of viruses and protect the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the people, various places have launched seamless investigations to contain loopholes in prevention and control.

On 16 November, the Xiamen Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a notice stating that on 15 November, the disease control department found a positive test for the covi nucleic acid in the outer package of imported frozen pork during a routine random inspection of a cold storage in Xiamen.

After investigation, the batch of French imported pork entered the customs from Shanghai Yangshan Port, totaling 25 tons. Since it was transported to a cold storage in Xiamen on 14 October, the whole batch of frozen products has not been used and has not entered the market.

According to the reporter's incomplete statistics, since November, cases of positive nucleic acid detection of the novel coronavirus in the cold chain environment have involved Tianjin, Shandong, Hubei, Fujian, Gansu, Henan, Shaanxi and other provinces.

In just four days from 13 to 16 November, Sishui in Jinan and Liangshan in Shandong, Xi'an in Shaanxi, Zhengzhou in Henan, Wuhan in Hubei, Quanzhou in Fujian, Lanzhou in Gansu, Xiamen in Fujian, etc. reported testing in the cold chain environment found covi positive for nucleic acid.

The test samples in the above regions involve cold chain shrimp, frozen beef, frozen pork, etc. The production areas cover Germany, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and other countries.

What is more alarming is that there have been cases of cold storage loading and unloading workers being infected in Qingdao and Tianjin earlier.

Among them, the whole genome sequencing results of the confirmed virus in Tianjin showed that the virus is highly similar to the strains circulating in North America from March to June, and belongs to the European family branch II (North American branch) of the L genotype.

Real-name system management, seamless large-scale investigation... all areas contain and prevent loopholes

Cold chain products have frequently exposed problems, and various localities have also urgently initiated emergency plans to disinfect and seal the involved goods while also carrying out large-scale investigations.

In Lanzhou, on 13 November, Lanzhou issued a notice requiring all farmers’ markets, agricultural product wholesale markets, aquatic product markets, supermarkets, refrigerators, cold chain logistics companies, and catering companies to import cold chain food from that day. The valid COVID-19 nucleic acid test report and the entry cargo inspection and quarantine certificate issued by the port of entry must be verified. If there is no covi nucleic acid test report and entry cargo inspection and quarantine certificate, no purchase, storage, sale, or processing is allowed.

On 14 November, Fujian issued an emergency notice requesting that the safety supervision of imported cold chain food be highly valued, and that the risk of epidemic importation should be always guarded.

The notice also stated that the entities and individuals involved in the production and operation of imported cold chain food must establish real-name management accounts for employees, and actively cooperate with relevant departments to carry out relevant environmental, food, and personnel “doing all inspections” nucleic acid testing to ensure the first time investigation and discovery The risk of the epidemic, the first time risk information notification, the first time organization control and disposal deployment.

In addition, Wuhan has also issued the “Notice on Further Strengthening the Nucleic Acid Testing of Imported Cold Chain Foods” to conduct full coverage and seamless inspections of all imported cold chain foods in the city.

Repeated international epidemics. Keeping an eye on "external defense input" is the key!

Wu Zunyou, chief expert of epidemiology at the China CDC, analyzed the media before that, the low temperature environment created by the cold chain provides a good space for the virus to survive. In an environment of minus 20 degrees Celsius, covi can generally survive for several months. Even with ordinary cold chain transportation, covi can survive for several weeks.

Today, the cumulative number of confirmed cases worldwide has exceeded 53 million. Under the background that the international epidemic situation has not been alleviated, China is facing a steep increase in foreign defense import pressure.

In fact, many departments, including the General Administration of Customs, have also stepped up their efforts to strictly control import risks.

On 11 September 2020, the General Administration of Customs issued an announcement stating that if the same foreign manufacturer's cold chain food or its packaging was tested positive for covi for two times, the customs respectively suspended the acceptance of the import declaration of the company’s products for one week, and it will automatically resume after the expiration. If the same overseas manufacturer has been found to be positive for the novel coronavirus three times or more, the customs will suspend the acceptance of the import declaration of the enterprise’s products for 4 weeks, and will resume automatically after the expiration.

In October, the State Council's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism Comprehensive Group issued the "Technical Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of New Coronavirus in Cold Chain Food Production and Operation" and "Technical Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of New Coronavirus in Cold Chain Food Production and Operation."

In addition, the General Administration of Customs, together with the Ministry of Transport, the National Health Commission, and the State Administration for Market Supervision, has studied and formulated the “Work Plan for Preventive and Comprehensive Disinfection of Imported Cold Chain Foods”, which requires comprehensive preventive measures before the imported cold chain food comes into contact with domestic personnel for the first time. Disinfection treatment minimizes the risk of the new coronavirus being imported through imported cold chain food from the source.

Information from the General Administration of Customs shows that China has communicated and negotiated with the competent authorities of all 109 countries that have cold-chain food exports to the People's Republic of China, and a total of 140 imported cold-chain food manufacturers in 50 countries have been spot-checked. The 22 companies in question took measures such as suspending or revoking their registration qualifications.

At the same time, the local level is also strengthening the prevention and control of cold chain food from the purchase to the consumer terminal.

For example, Beijing has already prepared for a rainy day. Since 1 November, the “Beijing Cold Chain” food traceability platform has been officially launched, and Beijing’s imported refrigerated and frozen meat and aquatic products have fully implemented “code on” traceability management.

Shanghai also issued the "Notice on the Transit Inspection of High-Risk Imported Cold Chain Foods" on 15 November, requiring all high-risk imported cold chain foods to be stored, processed and sold in Shanghai to be inspected for nucleic acid testing and disinfection certificates. From midnight on 16 November, high-risk imported cold chain foods should enter the transit inspection warehouse for nucleic acid testing and outer packaging disinfection.

How to eat cold chain food safely?

The terminals of the cold chain are in tens of thousands of households, and the risk of "cold chain hiding drugs" has to be prevented. So, during the epidemic, what should we pay attention to when buying and eating cold chain food? In this regard, the disease control department has given guidance.

——Pay attention to when purchasing:

 1. Go to regular supermarkets or markets to buy fresh products. When purchasing, you can use disposable plastic bags to cover your hands to select frozen fresh foods, avoid direct contact with your hands, and wear masks correctly.

2. When buying pre-packaged frozen chilled food, pay attention to the food label content such as the production date, shelf life, storage conditions, etc., to ensure that the food is within the shelf life.

3. Wash your hands with soap or hand sanitizer immediately after shopping. Before washing your hands, do not touch your mouth, nose, eyes and other parts.

4. Overseas shopping and purchasing goods from overseas countries or regions, including the purchase of overseas frozen food, should pay attention to customs food quarantine information and do a good job of disinfection of the outer packaging.

——Pay attention to when cleaning and processing:

1. Keep the kitchen and utensils clean, and wash your hands before handling food.

2. Separate raw and cooked food. Containers (pots), knives, cutting boards and other utensils used for processing frozen and chilled food should be placed separately, and should be cleaned and disinfected in time to avoid mixing with utensils that handle direct-entry food to avoid cross-contamination.

3. Frozen fresh food should be stored in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator. Do not store it for too long. Store it in layers with cooked food.

4. After washing or touching frozen frozen food, wash your hands before touching cooked food.

5. The kitchen should be ventilated and clean, and the environment and utensils should be disinfected if necessary.

——Be careful when cooking and eating:

1. When cooking and eating frozen chilled food, the processed seafood should be cooked thoroughly. The general principle of cooking is to keep it for 10 to 15 minutes after boiling.

2. Try to avoid eating seafood raw, half raw, soaked in wine, vinegar or salted.

3. When two or more people eat together, remember to use public chopsticks and spoons to reduce cross-infection and reduce the incidence of infectious diseases and food-borne diseases.

4. For seafood that has not been eaten (already cooked), please store it in the refrigerator, eat it as soon as possible, and be sure to fully heat it before eating again, and the core temperature should reach 70°C or higher.

In addition, the disease control department reminded that once symptoms of fever or diarrhea appear after eating, they should go to the fever clinic in time, and actively inform the eating time, food types, and food sources to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
