HK Consumer Council : Canned fish|9 Sardines, 1 Mud Fish, 2 Tuna Fish Contain Carcinogenic Contaminants【Attached List】

The Hong Kong Consumer Council tested 46 common canned fish samples in the market, including 7 types of mud carp, 19 types of sardines and 20 types of tuna, and found that all contained different types and contents of metal contaminants, mainly arsenic, mercury, cadmium and lead.

Among them, 9 samples of sardines, 1 sample of mud carp, and 2 samples of tuna detected polychlorinated biphenyls PCBs, which can cause carcinogenic pollutants, including dioxin-like PCBs or non-dioxins Like PCBs.

The Consumer Council said that long-term daily consumption exceeds the tolerable PCB intake before there is a health risk, and consumers need not worry too much.
