The contact number on public sanitizers in MRT stations is not for servicing

64823300, the contact number on Duprex sanitizers in MRT stations of Singapore, is not for servicing. The reporter called Duprex to instruct their staff to come down to replenish a sanitizer in the lift of Ang Mo Kio MRT station because it ran out of gel. However the staff who answered the call claims that the contact number is for ordering new sanitizers only, not gel. The reporter was advised to inform MRT staff about the gel shortage.

When the passenger service staff of Ang Mo Kio MRT Station was informed about the gel shortage, the staff did not do anything. Until now, they do not know how to deal with the shortage. The sanitizer of the passenger service control office is faulty and nothing has been done to resolve the issue for months.

Public service providers have to look into the issue of gel shortage in sanitizers, just as they have to look into the issue of soap shortage in many Singaporean public toilets if washing hands is one of the ways to inactivate viruses, germs and bacteria.
