Singaporean hotels can start applying to the government to accept domestic travel bookings and open leisure areas for children.
According to the notice issued by the Singapore Tourism Board(STB), the hotels must comply with the safety management measures formulated by STB, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Enterprise Development Board and the Ministry of Health before applying. These include: the public space cannot accommodate more than one resident per 10 square metres, stagger the time the resident uses the facility to reduce their chances of contact. The hotels must also be able to channel crowds, prevent crowding, implement the SafeEntry visitor registration system, and increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfection.
STB said that each application requires up to 14 days for approval. Approved hotels must submit the information requested by the authorities every week, and must notify the authorities immediately if a confirmed covid case occurs.
