The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan announced recently that it will resume the establishment of the "Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office in Guam" in Guam, United States. Some economists have analyzed that the US military is rushing to make preparations for the CCP to start a war, so it is necessary for Taiwan to set up an office in Guam.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan said on 3 June that considering the importance of upgrading Taiwan-US relations to "global partners" and the strategic position of the Pacific, after consultation and agreement with the US government, the establishment of the "Guam Taipei Economic and Cultural Office" will be resumed in Guam. Various preparations are in progress.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, due to budget and manpower considerations, the Guam office was suspended in 2017. The budget has grown year by year, the Taiwan-US relationship has been upgraded to a "global partner" and the strategic position of the Pacific is important. It is decided to resume the establishment of the Guam office in 2020 .
In recent years, the Pacific strategic situation has changed. The United States proposed the "Indo-Pacific Strategy" in 2018 to enhance the strategic position of the Indian Ocean-Pacific region, and released the "Indo-Pacific Strategic Report" and "Free and Open Indo-Pacific Region: Promoting Shared Vision" reports the following year. Therefore, the restoration of the Guam office will strengthen the overall economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Taiwan and the Western Pacific, help deepen the operation of Taiwan-Pacific friendly relations, and enhance multilateral interaction.
In this regard, economist Wu Jialong analyzed in his personal Facebook that Taiwan’s reopening of the Guam office was "in response to a proposal or request from the United States." He made two points. One is that the US military is already preparing for the CCP war, including the deployment of four stealth bombers B1B in Guam.
Wu Jialong believes that the US military is rushing to prepare for the war, so it is necessary for Taiwan to set up an office in Guam.
The second is India. Once there is a military conflict, the US strategic vision should be to put pressure on the Chinese Communist Party to use troops on two fronts. Therefore, the Sino-Indian border should really refute the fire, and it will be carried out simultaneously with the Taiwan Strait (including the South China Sea and the East China Sea).

At present, the United States and China are struggling in the South China Sea area. First, the CCP conducted military exercises here from July 1st to 5th. At the same time, the US Navy also conducted a "double aircraft carrier" joint military exercise in the South China Sea.
On July 4th, the US National Day, the US Navy sent the USS Nimitz CVN-68 and USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 "Double Carriers" to perform exercises in the South China Sea. The U.S. Air Force dispatched the carrier strike groups and B-52H bombers and super hornet bombers to which the above two aircraft carriers belonged.
A spokesman for the US Navy said that the USS Nimitz and the USS Reagan conducted dual-ship operations in the South China Sea to "support the free and open waters of the Indo-Pacific Sea."
Wu Jialong reminded the people of Taiwan to start preparing for the coming of war on Facebook!
In recent years, the Chinese Communist Party has frequently used military threats, diplomatic crackdowns and other measures to release the warning signal of Wutong Taiwan. Especially after Beijing concealed the epidemic and caused a major plague to sweep the world, the Chinese Communist Party took advantage of various countries' epidemic prevention opportunities and sent warships to provoke them in the South China Sea.
At the critical moment when the rain in the Taiwan Straits is coming and the treacherous situation in the South China Sea, the United States also moves frequently. The three US carrier battle groups rarely appeared in the Indo-Pacific region. US military aircraft also flew over Taiwan’s west coast. Deterring the CCP is meaningful.
Guam can become a platform for Taiwan-US military exchanges
In a visit to Radio Free Asia on 6 June, Lu Bingyuan, the chief host of the US HSVG Public Health Research Laboratory Program for long-term stay in Guam, analyzed that Guam Anderson Air Force Base deployed new B-1B bombers in the past few years.
On the other hand, Guam’s overall military deployment is not the same as in the past few years. Now the five US military services in Guam include the Navy, the Air Force, the Army, the Marine Corps, and the Coast Guard. There has not been a Marine Corps in the past.
Lu Bingyuan said, "It can be seen from this matter that the United States attaches more importance to Guam's military strategic position. Guam is a very good point for military exchanges. But if Taiwan and the United States engage in military exchanges in Guam, can this be extended immediately? To prepare for the war, I dare not extend this far."
Lu Bingyuan suggested that the Guam office should strive for permanent military officers to establish a platform for the exchange of US troops between Taiwan and the Pacific.
Lu Bingyuan believes that the Guam office used to have only cultural, business and overseas Chinese services, and there were no military officers or people with military backgrounds in Guam. If you want to observe whether the newly reopened library has military intentions, you must observe the establishment announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Lu Bingyuan: "If there is a new organization, it may be an obvious signal. We can imagine that there are more military exchanges. You can communicate and contact privately with military generals here."
On 10 June, the US Senate Military Committee passed the 2021 National Defense Authorization Law, which supports deepening Taiwan-US relations and proposes the Pacific Deterrence Initiative (Pacific Deterrence Initiative) fund.
According to this initiative, the United States has injected US$6.9 billion in funding over the past two years to strengthen the US military’s strategic competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific region, and encourage the establishment of F-35A fighter group operations in the Indo-Pacific region to reassure allies and partners.
U.S. Senator Holly proposed the "Taiwan Defense Act" to show the defense of Taiwan and the suppression of the Chinese Communist aggression. The bill requires the US Department of Defense to ensure that the US military has the ability to prevent the CCP’s aggression against Taiwan, and to prevent the Chinese side from seizing control of Taiwan by force and causing "accomplishment."
