After investigation, the batch of goods was purchased from Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Products Development Co., Ltd., and originated in Saudi Arabia. It entered Tianjin Customs on 21 October this year, and was sent from Tianjin to Lanzhou on November 5 and reached Jiao, Chengguan District on 8 November. The Jiawan Refrigeration Plant has tracked, sealed and disposed of all the 82 pieces of goods sold. As of 7 o'clock on 14 November, the 2270 samples of personnel and 680 samples of food and environmental samples that have been collected have all been negative.
On 13 November, the Office of the Leading Group for Joint Prevention and Control of the New Crown Epidemic in Lanzhou City issued an urgent notice on furthering the prevention and control of imported cold chain food. It is required that from 13 November, all farmer’s markets, agricultural product wholesale markets, aquatic product markets, shopping malls, supermarkets, refrigerated warehouses, cold chain logistics companies, and catering companies in the city must verify the validity period issued by the port of entry for imported cold chain foods on the covi nucleic acid test qualified report and entry cargo inspection and quarantine certificate. If there is no covi nucleic acid test qualified report and entry cargo inspection and quarantine certificate, no purchase, storage, sale, or processing is allowed.
The notice also reminded citizens not to purchase imported cold chain foods through online and offline channels in the near future. Those that have been purchased must be fully cleaned. The cooking process should be separated from raw and cooked, and eaten after fully cooked.
In the morning of November 14, Tang Renjian, governor of Gansu Province, came to the Jiaojiawan Refrigeration Plant to check the emergency response of the epidemic prevention and control, and investigated and arranged the deployment of epidemic prevention and control in Lanzhou.
Tang Renjian came to the sealing and control site of the Jiaojiawan Refrigeration Plant, listened to the emergency response report in detail, and put forward clear requirements on the testing and disinfection of imported frozen food, traceability, and nucleic acid testing of employees. Later, Tang Renjian came to the CDC in Chengguan District, Lanzhou City to hold an on-site office meeting to further deploy the epidemic prevention and control work.
In the next step, the Lanzhou City Joint Prevention and Control Leading Group will comprehensively strengthen the inspection of imported cold chain foods, and conduct full coverage and seamless inspections of all imported cold chain foods in the city.
