CCP China's human rights record is getting worse and worse. The country with the most faith victims in the world is China! Christian believers from six continents around the world have launched a "Global Prayer for China" campaign, calling on believers to pray for Chinese prisoners of conscience who have been persecuted by the CCP from 23 to 30 May.

"The world prays for China"!

This global action calls on Christian believers to pray for prisoners of conscience who are persecuted in China from May 23 to 30. The targets include Christians, Uighur Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists, Falun Gong practitioners, and Hong Kong human rights activists, human rights defenders, lawyers, citizen journalists and various dissidents.

The spokesperson of the event and the former Canadian Ambassador of Religious Freedom Andrew Bennett told The Epoch Times, “As Christians, we feel that we have a special responsibility to pray. We believe that prayer has the power to make people good and change the situation.”

The members of the activity alliance include congressmen, entrepreneurs, professors, etc. from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries.

The event website also provides information on political and religious prisoners, as well as information on the state of religious freedom in China.

Fujian female writer Fan Yanqiong said, "People are very helpless after they lose their freedom. I think faith is very important. Not only do others pray for us, but also for ourselves. We pray that the heavens will know that he will come to help us."

Pastor Yi Liu, the founder of the "Chinese Christian Justice Fellowship" in the United States, believes that this event is very meaningful.

Pastor Liu Yi, founder of the "Chinese Christian Justice Fellowship" in the United States, said, "For lawyers like Gao Zhisheng, lawyer Jiang Tianyong, and many prisoners of conscience, our church calls for prayers for them every day. Prayer not only changes people's hearts, prayer can also gather people’s hearts."

Last year, after the CCP virus epidemic spread globally, Burmese Cardinal Charles Maung Bo fired the first shot in the Catholic world, demanding the CCP apologize for the Wuhan pneumonia epidemic and criticizing the CCP as a threat to all mankind.

Charles Maung Bo is one of the most powerful Catholic high-ranking clergy in Asia and serves as the chairman of the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences.

On 14 March 2021, Charles Maung Bo was the first to issue a statement inviting people from all walks of life to pray for China, which aroused widespread response. Relevant activities were finally expanded to set up a special website for "Global Prayer for China" in early May.

Pastor Liu Yi said that this event also responded to the call of the former Roman Catholic Pope Benedict XVI to "pray for China". In 2007, Benedict XVI designated 24 May every year as the "Prayer Day for the Chinese Church".

Liu Yi said, "When we remind people to pray for these things, then others will definitely ask us: Why pray for them? We will introduce it because of the brutal genocide in China and the persecution of other religious believers. You can use this opportunity to tell everyone about the brutal persecution of human rights defenders."

Sheng Xue, a Chinese Canadian female writer, participated in the promotion of this event. She said that since the establishment of the Chinese Communist Party, it has never stopped suppressing faith groups, and the methods and levels have become more serious. She hopes that this activity can awaken more people's awareness of the persecution of the Chinese Communist Party.

Chinese Canadian female writer Sheng Xue: "The CCP can be said to be the world's longest, widest, and largest number of communist tyranny in persecuting faith groups. Now its persecution of faith groups has attracted more and more people's attention and anger."

Sheng Xue said that people with influence in various fields should speak up on this issue to a greater extent.

Sheng Xue: "Today, the whole world really cannot allow the CCP to continue like this. I believe that because more and more people are beginning to pay attention to the CCP’s practices at such a level, it is likely to drive the whole world fundamentally. Put an end to the CCP’s tyranny as soon as possible."

Christians in China are facing increasing pressure, control and violence.

The CCP’s new religious regulations, "Administrative Measures for Religious Clergy", came into effect on 1 May 2021, requiring those who hold official positions in religious groups to swear allegiance to the CCP.

Recently, the Chinese authorities have mobilized a large number of police forces to arrest bishops and demolish church crosses.

Bennett believes that prayer is a powerful weapon to resist persecution and stop violations of human dignity, and that the power of faith can eventually reverse the situation.
