Yunnan covid outbreak- Kunming Airlines requires negative nucleic acid test certificates

Report by : Gan Yung Chyan, KUCINTA SETIA

CCP China has always not been transparent in its covid tally since the epidemic first broke out in Wuhan in 2019.

On 29 May 2021, Kunming Airlines announces on its official Weibo account that the covid epidemic in Yunnan and outside Yunnan is severe. Therefore, to board its flights in Tengchong, the airline requires passengers to show their negative covi nucleic acid test certificates before boarding. The results must be valid within 72 hours before departure.

The announcement of Kunming Airlines shows that although there were no more new covid cases in Ruili, the epidemic has spread elsewhere in Yunnan and Tengchong, another Yunnan city, has undisclosed covid cases.

The Yunnan CDC, Yunnan Provincial Health Commission and National Health Commission cannot be reached for comment.
