Below are attempts to translate Hong Kong author Ngan Shunkau's ten questions to the mainland China's foreign ministry on dumping virus origin to the US. Shunkau posted the questions in Chinese on his Facebook on 14 March 2020.

一國之外交部，不能無恥到此地步
中國外交部發言人趙立堅３月１２日在推特上說：「可能是美軍把疫情帶到了武漢」，當此中國疫情緩解的情況下，外交部發言人迫不及待要為中共甩鍋了。
但，一個國家的外交部發言人，不是尋常村婦野漢，不能信口開河，外交部發言人怎麼可以說「可能」這樣的話？有就有，沒有就沒有，有就拿證據出來，沒有就收聲，這應該是文明國家最起碼的要求吧？
他說美軍把疫情帶到武漢，指的是疫癥爆發前，在武漢舉行過一次世界軍人運動會，有美國軍人參加。早在一兩個月前，大陸就有人放風聲，現在重提，目的就是混淆視聽。
關於病毒來源，筆者早在鍾南山說「來源不一定是中國」時，就從中美兩國的角度，依現有資料，憑常識作過分析，既然外交部發言人重提此事，不妨再問他幾個問題：
一﹑如果是美軍帶了病毒來，中共為何不一早就搜集證據，公開指證？以中共大國體制，絕對不可能找不到第一染疫者，順籐摸瓜，一定可以追踪到軍人運動會，追踪到某個美國軍人﹑他住的酒店﹑接觸過的人，一定可以追踪到被他感染的中國人。那不是證據在手了嗎？
二﹑如果病毒自美國傳來，為何美國最早對中國封關，而不是相反，是中國一早對美國封關？為何中國的小兄弟北韓最早對中國封關，俄國也很早就對中國封邊界？為什麼北韓俄國都不對美國採取封關政策？
三﹑如果是美軍帶來病毒，為何中共一直拒絕美國派專家到中國來參與調查？既然來源在美國，美國對此病毒更有認識，讓他們參與調查，不是更事半功倍？而且，你要指責別人害你，你和他一起調查，對方不是更難抵賴？
四﹑如果病毒源頭在美國，為何中國翻天覆地，而美國兩三個月間卻安然無恙，直到最近才造成大擴散？美國如果可以讓病毒聽話，只准在中國傳播，不准在自己國內傳播，那今日也不會如此麻煩了，是不是？
五﹑疫情爆發之初，香港教授管軼到武漢調查，當時華南海鮮市場已經被清洗乾淨，如病毒來自美國，清洗華南海鮮市場所為何事？與此同時，中國政府通令全國「暫停」野生動物交易，病毒從美國來，關中國野生動物什麼事？
六﹑疫癥爆發之初，中共即刻派解放軍生物武器專家陳薇少將接管武漢Ｐ4 實驗室，病毒來自美國，關這個實驗室什麼事？
七﹑中國政府在1月3日就把疫情向美國通報，那時全國人民都不知道，若病毒來自美國，為何不是先向中國人通報，讓中國人提高警愓，小心美帝國主義的生物戰？
八﹑若病毒來自美國，中國政府通報疫情時，有沒有把美軍帶毒的證據提交給美國政府，以提醒對方追查來源﹑加緊防疫？
九﹑外交場合無戲言，「可能」二字不能隨便說。美國能不能說台灣「可能」屬於中國？香港「可能」實行一國兩制？中美之間「可能」有外交關係？有就有，沒有就沒有，從來不容許任何「可能」性。
十﹑美國是開放社會，有病毒出現，醫學和流行病學專家一定爭先恐後投入研究；美國又是新聞自由的國家，有任何風吹草動，媒體即空群而出，美國政府根本沒有能力掩瞞疫情。作為外交部發言人，為何連這點常識都沒有？
外交部發言人維護本國利益無可厚非，但你代表國家說話，要顧著國家的體面，你個人可以胡言亂語，國家不能胡言亂語。證據就是證據，事實就是事實，胡說就是胡說，抵賴就是抵賴，外交部發言人有如街頭小混混，那真是有失斯文。
退一萬步說，即使病毒真的來自美國，那中共要不要道歉呢？當然要，因為中共上下合謀，把抗疫延誤了足足四十天之久（武漢瞞中央二十天，中央瞞全國二十天），以至疫癥大爆發，完全失控，更嚴重地波及全世界。不是中國要道歉，是中共要道歉，不只是中共要向世界各國道歉，是首先要向十四億中國人民道歉。
習近平上台以來，外交部成了嗌交部，外交部上下都一副戰鬥格，不是去敦睦邦交，而是去撩是鬥非，還誇口「犯我中華者，雖遠必誅」。朋友越來越少，敵人越來越多，長此以往，情何以堪？
中國號稱泱泱大國，五千年輝煌歷史，要以中國模式建構人類文明共同體。既有此偉大抱負，至少也要在世界普遍的知識水平上與別國溝通，否則一定得不到別國尊重，只是讓人看輕自己而已。
