As of 20 March 2020 at 6 pm, Malaysia has a total of 1030 confirmed covid cases.
On this day, there is an increase of 130 new cases, in comparison with 190 new cases on 15 March 2020.
Of the 130 new cases, 48 are related to the tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling mosque, 29 cases from smaller cluster cases elsewhere in Malaysia and 53 unrelated cases whose sources of infection are under investigation.
On 20 March, 87 patients have recovered and discharged while 26 patients are being treated at the intensive care units and require ventilators to aid with breathing.
As of 20 March morning, the breakdown of the 900 covid cases in Malaysia is as follows: Selangor (223), Kuala Lumpur (96), Sabah (112), Johor (101), Negri Sembilan (56), Sarawak (51), Kelantan (44), Kedah (40), Perak (35), Pahang (32), Perlis (9), Putrajaya (96) and Labuan (5).
