On 12 March 2020, the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China stated that there were "no new confirmed cases reported in Hubei except Wuhan for one week in a row", and that the vast majority of newly confirmed cases in China outside Hubei were “overseas imports”, so "In general, the peak of the current round of epidemic in China has passed, and the epidemic has generally remained low."

On 11 March 2020, an internet social platform in China hotly transmitted a message from the National Health Commission of the Communist Party of China. The message is that all health commissions around mainland China received notifications that they will no longer diagnose new local COVID-19 (covid, in short) cases in mainland China. They will only diagnose and report covid cases imported from abroad.

Some analysts believe that the China Communist Party (CCP) media reporting imported cases only is to deceive the public in believing that the CCP authorities have “won the epidemic prevention war”. On the other hand, CCP can shift the responsibility for the second outbreak of the epidemic to overseas countries after the resumption of work.

Recently, Twitter uploaded a number of videos showing that many overseas Chinese who heard the CCP's epidemic had returned home to avoid the plague. As a result, they were treated inhumanely. Many people asked for help from the outside world and were threatened by the police. These overseas Chinese were reduced to "back pot knights" and became another discriminated group after Wuhan and Hubei.

An example of such a Twitter video below (extract) is currently online.

The returnee returned home to avoid the plague, and actually asked the police for human rights, mineral water, and the security of private property.

You have returned to China. What human rights, clean water, and private property protection are needed? Don't you know that the original intention of the Communist Party was to eliminate private ownership?

I don't know if I should cry or laugh when I think there will be a large wave of returnees travelling thousands of miles to go back to China to enjoy the dictatorship of socialism.

The outside world has questioned most of the CCP's claims that the domestic "epidemic is slowing down." Wu Fubin, the chairman of Taiwan’s National Association of Parent Education Volunteers, told The Epoch Times that the CCP had faked novel coronavirus pneumonia cases and deaths in Wuhan, “No one believes that the figures published by the Communist Party are reliable.”

Former mainland health official and director of China Institute of Health Education Chen Bingzhong also said that the current official data of the CCP is false, and zero growth in cases declared in various places is impossible, including those who are discharged from the cabin and those who are concealed asymptomatic. The second outbreak of the round of epidemics "is definitely certain."

According to a report by the Voice of Germany on 12 March 2020, Christian Drosten, a famous virologist at the Charité Medical School in Berlin, said that the official number of cases released by the CCP is completely unreliable because they are at the current stage. They just want to end the peak of the epidemic as soon as possible and thus provide false data to stabilize the public.

Drosten, a virology authority with rich experience in SARS virus research, said that with the gradual restoration of public life in Chinese society, from the perspective of epidemiology, the chain of infection will inevitably be activated again, and it is certain that new covid cases will re-appear in mainland China.

On 11 March 2020, local time, Drosten frankly said in an interview program about SARS-CoV-2 launched by the German Public Broadcasting Union. He noticed the call of many public bodies to learn from the CCP’s epidemic prevention model but he did not consider the CCP’s approach to be desirable. He suggested that Germany should adopt a "prevention approach with less social and economic harm."

The Dean of Germany Rob Coho Research Institute, Rochelle Weller, also said that strong isolation does not mean that the virus will disappear from the world. Once the mainland Chinese government removes strong quarantine measures, the number of new cases will increase again.

Weller predicts,"(Mainland China's epidemic) will have several waves. But no one knows when the next wave of peaks will come, nor can it know how large the next wave will be. Hope to isolate the virus from somewhere? The idea is very naive. "

American infectious disease experts have a similar view. Anthony Fauci, the chief infectious disease expert at the U.S. Federal Government and Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), told ABC TV on 15 March 2020 that "China  ' locked down' cities to contain the spread of the epidemic. When the restrictions are lifted and normal life resumed, a new wave of outbreaks may occur. Of course, I hope not. "
