The China Communist Party (CCP) has begun a new round of international publicity denying the origin of SARS-CoV-2 (covi, in short) in mainland China although its virologists including Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Institute of Virology have advocated that the virus does not originate in other countries including the United States.

The Italian online magazine Bitter Winter recently published an editorial entitled "De-Chineseization of Viruses: CCP Propaganda How to Rewrite History".

Editor-in-chief Massimo Introvigne said that a Chinese colleague recently greeted him and asked how he was during the "Italy virus" epidemic. Prior to this, Intravig has never heard of the name "Italy virus". He then discovered that Japanese friends were also asked questions about the "Japan virus."

Massimo added, "On 9 March 2020, the left-wing Catholic daily La Croix International published an investigation report. The daily newspaper never published unfavourable reports about China. This rare disclosure was made a week before the CCP instructed its embassies, consulates, representatives abroad around the world to persuade those pro-Chinese to unify their caliber, not to say that SARS-CoV-2 originated in China, but to insist that although the virus hit Wuhan, its true source remains unknown.

"The investigation report stated that the secret order required them to "question" public opinion, suggesting that COVID-19 was first introduced into China from abroad and not from China or Wuhan.

On the other hand, The Wall Street Journal reported on 28 February 2020 that "the confrontation between Europe and China" stated that the CCP's handling of covi has further reduced the CCP's appeal to Europe.

"China is trying to export its governance model to the entire world, including Europe," said Volker Perthes, a think tank that advises the German government and Parliament, and Director of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs. "
The report said that opinion polls showed that last year in most parts of the European Union, positive views on China had shrunk significantly. Three recent major political parties in Sweden have unanimously demanded the deportation of Chinese ambassador Gui Congyou to Stockholm on the grounds of his open threat to Swedish officials, the media and human rights organizations.

Another EU minister said to The Wall Street Journal, "Frankly, we have no reason to succumb to China (the China Communist Party)." "They have not given us any help."

Even if it was the first Italy to join the CCP ’s “Belt and Road”, The Wall Street Journal said that almost all major political parties, as well as the Italy Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, have condemned Chinese diplomats for attempting to interfere in the operation of the Italy Parliament. The Chinese ambassador to Rome accused parliamentarians of meeting with Hong Kong's young opposition leader Huang Zhifeng, "supporting violence and crime", which caused a rebound in Italy. The Italy Parliament unanimously passed a resolution in support of Hong Kong's democracy and freedom.

StayGate's Notes:
Please stop discriminating viruses and diseases according to country or region. If it wastes time to type SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, covi and covid should be recommended. If there are variants of the virus and disease, just add numbers from 1 to the words relevantly.
