Due to the China Communist Party (CCP) concealing the truth of the COVID-19 (covid, in short) epidemic leading to the spread of covid to the rest of the world, the numbers of confirmed cases and deaths in South Korea, Italy, Iran and other countries have skyrocketed daily. As of 3 March 2020, official data shows that there are 2336 confirmed covid cases including 77 deaths in Iran. Although 435 patients have recovered, the number of deaths is increasing daily.

However, news in Iran are opaque and Iran is not a free and democratic country. The Iranian statistics are hardly reliable. Besides, the vice president, deputy prime minister, deputy health minister, and five members of parliament have been diagnosed with covid. The former ambassador to the Vatican and senior adviser to Iran’s highest spiritual leader have died. It is believed Iran has covered up the actual epidemic situation. What the outside world knows is only the tip of the iceberg.

Recently, there are Iranian netizens shooting videos directly at places where corpses are laid. As there are too many dead people, the corpses have to be packed in cardboard boxes. The scenes are as terrified as in Wuhan.

According to Twitter posts, according to a medical staff in Qom, Iran, dozens of people were infected and died in Qom, many of whom have not been buried due to the shortage of burial grounds (Iran implements burial only). He said that the Iranian government is covering this up and the scale of the disaster cannot be ignored. It is unclear whether the person who uploaded the video to Twitter is the medical staff of Qom.

Some Chinese netizens watched this video and sighed, "The doctors in Iran can still publish the actual death situation through the media, and all the people in the China Communist system have been shut up. There is no such conscience doctor who dares to shoot corpse videos, even independent reporters disappeared in China ... the Communist Party not only owes an apology to the people of the world but also owes a blood debt! "

In addition, there are netizens who have spread the news that many Iranians have died on the streets. They believe that the relevant government has concealed the severity of the epidemic from the public, as in earlier stages of the epidemic in Wuhan.

StayGate's Notes:

Concerns over corpses infected with COVID-19

There are concerns that covid may further spread from dead bodies infected with the disease. The virus SARS-CoV-2 (covi, in short) can be transmitted from the corpses due to close contact without protective clothing.

According to earlier video leaks from Wuhan reported on New Tang Dynasty Television (NTDTV), acting on CCP doctors' orders, corpses infected with covid at homes and on the streets are immediately cremated in Wuhan round-the-clock in the belief that the transmission of covi will be controlled. These lead to under-reported death data in China as only confirmed deaths registered by hospitals are reported to the authorities. This is the one of the concerns of the people in Wuhan towards the epidemic under their city lock down, besides food shortages and criminal punishment for not wearing face masks upon stepping out of their homes, and a major concern of the Chinese people towards the epidemic in mainland China.

The risks posed by corpses after disasters include not just infection with covid. The web-site of World Health Organization (WHO) states, "Gastrointestinal (GI) infections can easily be transmitted from faeces leaked from dead bodies. Transmission occurs via the faecal-oral route through direct contact with the body, soiled clothes or contaminated vehicles or equipment. GI infections can also be spread as a result of contamination of the water supply with dead bodies."  This is another area of concern.

At this time, WHO has not advised developing countries such as Iran and other Islamic countries how to undertake corpses infected with covid nor investigated the causes of the outbreaks in Iran where patients have no travel history to China. These lead to under-reported death data in Iran and continuous spikes in covid cases.

Islamic countries like Iran, Iraq and Jordan do not implement cremation and have no crematoriums. If corpses infected with covid are merely buried, will they not cause further spread of covid to the communities? This is another cause for concern in the name of controlling the spread of covid worldwide.

In Indonesia, according to blogger Dunham Graham in his essay Cremation in Indonesia - The Indonesian Way of Death, cremation is banned and "wherever possible the corpse must be interred before sundown on the day of death" .

If there are a higher number of corpses infected with covid in the covid-affected countries without the necessary protection measures, humanitarian disasters are likely to happen.
