According to surging news reports, the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council of China held a press conference today. He Qinghua, a first-level inspector of the National Health Commission's Disease Prevention & Control Authority introduced at the meeting that since the release of the third version of the prevention and control plan on 28 January, the total number of asymptomatic infections reported so far is 6,764, of which 1,297 cases have turned into symptomatic infections and confirmed.

She also revealed that there were 4444 cases during the 14-day medical observation period, after two viral tests were negative, and after a period of medical follow-up without problems, the medical observation was released, and the remaining 1023 cases are still under medical observation.

At present, the Disease Prevention & Control Authority has carried out viral seroepidemiological surveys of community residents in nine provinces and cities, including Beijing, Liaoning, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, Guangdong, Sichuan, Chongqing and Wuhan.
