Beijing Communist Party's virus epidemic in Chaoyang District has suddenly worsened, and 75 new cases have been diagnosed. Some analysts believe that the epidemic situation in Beijing may be more severe than that in Wuhan, and the unblocking is far away. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang made an urgent statement a few days ago, calling for large-scale nucleic acid and antibody testing, and emphasized that this matter is "important."

On 22 April 2020, Li Keqiang chaired the Central Working Party Meeting on Epidemic Situation, and said that many countries are now stepping up efforts to expand the scope of testing. If China is to achieve full-scale resumption of production under normalized control, it must also carry out large-scale nucleic acid and antibody testing.

He believes that fast and accurate detection is conducive to precise prevention and control, reasonable personnel flow, and promoting full-scale resumption of production.

Before Li Keqiang's speech, on April 19, the Beijing authorities announced that they would conduct a comprehensive nucleic acid test on eight types of people in the city.

The eight categories of people include: diagnosed and close contacts; people who go to the fever clinic; patients who are in urgent need of hospitalization; immigrants who pass through the Beijing port; people who are about to be leave Wuhan for Beijing; personnel who return to Beijing on business trips from central and state agencies; Check-in staff at the hotel; and teachers and students and college staff returning to Beijing from other Chinese cities.

Since the resumption of labor and resumption of production, the number of cases of infection in Beijing has continued to increase, and Chaoyang District of Beijing was listed as the only high-risk area in China on 18 April. Harbin, Suifenhe, Heilongjiang, and Yuexiu and Baiyun districts of Guangzhou City, where outbreaks of cluster infections were only raised to "medium-risk areas," highlight the extraordinary epidemic in Beijing.

Ping Xinghuo, Deputy Director of the Beijing Center for Disease Prevention and Control, said on 20 April 2020 that the cumulative epidemic caused by a case imported from abroad led to more than 50 confirmed cases, so the risk level of the outbreak in Chaoyang District was designated as a high-risk area.

As of 22 April 2020, Beijing officially notified 75 cases were diagnosed in Chaoyang District, requiring people returning from overseas to quarantine at home for an additional 7 days in addition to 14 days of centralized quarantine. However, the outside world expressed doubts about the official data.

According to the "Beijing News", communities in Shijiazhuang, Tianjin and other cities have clearly requested that returnees from Chaoyang District must quarantine for 14 days. According to external analysis, it is not trivial for Chaoyang District to be included in "high-risk areas". The so-called "foreign import-related cases" are just a guise, and the actual epidemic situation may already be severe.

Mr. Zhang, a resident of Chaoyang District in Beijing, told The Epoch Times on 22 April that the epidemic situation in Chaoyang District is making people nervous. "East Bridge, Wuji Street, Gaojiayuan and Chaoyang Hospital in Chaoyang District are the key points. The area is high-risk area and there is no major event (office ). Try not to go over there as there is infection. "

"People didn't say that it was local, so they said that Chaoyang area has been designated as a priority. Now (everyone) is quite nervous. (Control is not under control) It's a national matter. We'll finish it as soon as we hear it. If we don't let it go, we won't go. It’s not clear whether it’s serious or not. If it says so, everyone will understand. ”Mr. Zhang said.

Ms. Chen, a resident of Chaoyang District, said that the officials now say that the virus was imported from abroad. "This is what you know." If the epidemic is under control, it is certain that the community cannot be closed, but "our communities here have not yet been removed.  The community is still closed. "

As early as 6 March 2020, Beijing officials have declared that more than 820,000 people returning to Beijing are staying at home to observe that Beijing's epidemic prevention has reached its most strenuous time.

From 12 March 2020, all international passenger flights to Beijing must detour. Those who are on business and visiting relatives in Hubei will not be allowed to return to Beijing. People from other areas will be required to conduct home or concentrated medical observation for 14 days after returning to Beijing.

The outside world generally believes that whether the CCP can convene the two sessions is a vane of the Beijing epidemic. The authorities have been afraid to open it, indicating that there are still risks.

The Hong Kong media "Ming Pao" quoted sources as saying on 17 April 2020 that due to the epidemic, some senior leaders of the Communist Party of China have moved from Zhongnanhai to the office in Yuquanshan in the western suburbs of Beijing to reduce gatherings.
