Anti-epidemic frontline workers have disinfected Wuhan Tianhe International Airport's service desks, check-in counters, security channels, waiting areas, business areas, arrival, boarding gates, aerobridges and public areas of the T3 terminal. On 6 April 2020, the markings for "sit at intervals" and "keep an orderly queue at a distance of one meter" can be seen everywhere in the waiting hall.

Yu Tao, Director of the Terminal Area Management Department of Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, introduced that, unlike the previous flight, after returning to the sea, passengers must enter Hubei with the Hubei health code and green code, and no abnormality after body temperature checks. In addition, before boarding the flight, passengers must also complete a personal health status declaration.

According to the need for epidemic prevention and control, all operations of self-service check-in equipment in the airport will be temporarily suspended, and all passengers will go through the check-in formalities through the manual counter. According to Ye Tao, the airport is currently preparing a first-phase passenger boarding guide, covering entry and exit precautions, boarding knowledge, etc., to remind passengers to make preparations before travelling.

It is worth noting that,  Wuhan will continue to implement closed control of the Wuhan communities. Luo Ping, deputy secretary of the Political and Legal Committee of the Wuhan Municipal Committee and the relevant person in charge of the community prevention and control group in the epidemic prevention and control headquarters of Wuhan City, said in an interview with the media that the un-locking of the city of Wuhan  marks a new stage of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan.

"The opening of the city gate does not mean that all the alarms are lifted, nor does it mean that the epidemic prevention and control measures are relaxed." Luo Ping said. The current situation of epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan is still grim. Residents are not to leave their communities.
