A few days ago, an outbreak of COVID-19 (covid, in short) broke out among the Africans in Sanyuanli District of Guangzhou broke out. The authorities issued discriminatory anti-epidemic measures against Africans and conducted large-scale investigations. According to a local official report on the Internet, at least one thousand Africans have tested positive for nucleic acid.

On 11 April 2020, an internal company notice (as above) was posted on the Internet in the name of "Guangzhou Nolan Fine Chemical Co., Ltd." According to the notice, according to the (official) latest epidemic prevention bulletin, on 10 April 2020, more than a thousand people were positively tested in the Sanyuanli and on Mineral Street, Yuexiu District. A large number of African personnel also fled during the period.

The notice requires that employees and family members of the company strengthen epidemic prevention and inform the village committee when they see Africans.

The content of the notice has not yet been officially confirmed. After investigation, Nolan Fine Chemicals is indeed located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou. It is a large-scale group enterprise specializing in R & D and sales of cosmetics. According to previous notices from Guangzhou officials, more than 6,000 foreigners have been isolated.

A lot of news on the Internet earlier said that the outbreak in Sanyuanli, Yaotai Village, where the Africans lived, had closed the village, and the authorities began to investigate. A large number of local shops were forced to close down for isolation. Multiple videos show that official personnel began mass evictions, arrested Africans, and even confiscated their passports. In order to avoid implication, local owners have also kicked out Africans from their rental houses. Many Africans are sleeping on the streets or fleeing to other places.

On 11 April 2020, a spokesman for the National Health Commission of PRC publicly admitted that “recently, there have been cases of cluster outbreaks in individual provinces.” Guangzhou Sanyuanli could be one of the “collective outbreak cases” mentioned by the health commission.

In addition, with a large number of Russian Chinese being repatriated or returning home on their own, the Suifenhe port of Heilongjiang has also become a severely affected area. This city has been closed. A square cabin hospital has been built, and more than 20 isolation points have been designated. The city of Mudanjiang, to which Suifenhe belongs, has also begun to isolate Chinese returning to China.

In addition, the Sichuan Province internal document notice was transmitted online, requiring the province to urgently prepare 50200 isolated rooms, and Chengdu alone is preparing 10,000 isolated rooms.

It is not known how many actual covid infection cases the hospitals in mainland China and the National Health Commission have concealed.
