As of 4 pm local time on 3 July 2020, the Indonesia Health Ministry has reported a cumulative number of 60,695 confirmed covid cases, with 1301 new cases added on 3 July. The number of fatalities has increased and the death toll is now 3,036.
Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that the capital is extending its transitional mobility restructions by 14 days to 15 July 2020 to tighten supervision of traditional markets and train services.
Covid frontline staff in Jakarta have tested 1400 residents per 1 million population, exceeding the minimum of 1000 tests per million people recommended by the World Health Organization, according to Anies.
Anies urged Indonesians to continue wearing face masks, washing hands regularly and maintaining safe distancing with one another to control the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
