Uzbekistan Airways resumes flights to China, Japan, South Korea and Israel from 15 June 2020

Uzbekistan Airways has resumed scheduled passenger flights to Japan, China, South Korea and Israel from 15 June 2020. It will continue to send special planes to evacuate overseas Chinese from Russia.

From 15 June, Uzbekistan allows entry and exit of the following personnel:

·Foreign diplomats and employees of embassies and consulates and their family members;

· Experts of foreign companies engaged in investment projects in Uzbekistan;

· Entry or exit personnel for medical purposes;

· Relatives who are seriously ill in foreign countries need to be cared for;

·Foreigners holding Uzbekistan green cards;

· Uzbek citizens holding long-term foreign residence permits.

In addition, Uzbekistan will also allow citizens of the country to travel to other countries to complete their studies or work.

The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan has approved Uzbekistan Airways' charter plan for foreign citizens from 15 to 21 June. According to the plan, 11 flights have become the first batch of resumed international flights.

It is also reported that the chairman of the Uzbekistan Tourism Commission Abdukhajimov said in an interview that the government plans to classify flights into "Red, Yellow and Green" according to the severity of the outbreak.

According to the decision of the Anti-epidemic Action Command, Uzbekistan classifies the incoming international flights into three levels of "Green", "Yellow" and "Red" according to the epidemic situation in the relevant countries.

Flights from Japan, South Korea, China, etc. are in the "Green" areas, and passengers do not need to be isolated and observed after arriving in Ukraine;

Flights from EU countries, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. are flights in the "Yellow" area, and passengers must stay at home and observe for two weeks after arriving in Ukraine;

Flights from Turkey, Iran, Russia, etc. are flights in the "Red" area. Passengers must quarantine for two weeks after arriving in Ukraine.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that, for countries including Russia, where the number of infections has not declined, special planes will be used to evacuate overseas Chinese.

It is reported that Uzbekistan suspended international flights from 16 March 2020 due to the impact of the epidemic.
