According to the website of the Tianjin Health Commission, on 17 June 2020, Tianjin City has a new case of local covid.
The 137th patient, a man, 22 years old, currently lives in Huaixiang Garden, Huaihe Road, Pudong Street, Beichen District, and is a staff member of Conrad Hotel Kitchen. The hotel resumed operations on 6 May 2020. The patient has been doing dishwashing work since 30 May 2020, during which he was occasionally responsible for cleaning frozen seafood ingredients. At 8 o'clock on 16 June 2020, fever symptoms accompanied by dry throat, the highest temperature of 38 ℃. He went to Tianjin Medical University General Hospital, Nankai District Xuefu Hospital and Nankai District Santan Hospital successively. At 10.30 pm on 17 June, an ambulance of hotline 120 transferred him to a fixed-point medical institution for isolation and treatment. His condition was stable. After a comprehensive analysis by the municipal expert group, it was determined to be the 137th confirmed case of covid (light type) in Tianjin.
The trajectory of newly confirmed local cases in Tianjin is now announced. The Tianjin Prevention and Control Headquarters requires that anyone who has direct or indirect contact with a confirmed case at the same time and in the same place should immediately contact the local CDC , and actively cooperate with centralized isolation medical observation or home medical observation, and nucleic acid detection. Anyone who conceals and does not report and causes the spread of the epidemic will be dealt with seriously according to law.
The trajectory of Case 137 in the past 3 days is as follows:
On 14 June from morning to 5 pm. he is at home; 17:09-17:18, he is near the intersection of Puji River East Road and Vanke Garden East Road; 17:40-17:47 he is near Junsheng Road; 17:59, he arrives at home, walks from home to Wuergo supermarket (Huaixiangyuan store in Beichen District, Tianjin) around 9 pm and and goes home at 9.43 pm.
On 15 June, he leaves home at 9.05 am and rides an electric car to work at the Conrad Hotel. During this period, he did not leave the hotel; at 8 pm, he leaves the hotel and rides the electric car home.
On 16 June, he walks from home in the morning to Huaihedao Station on Metro Line 5 at 9.01 am. Take the subway from Exit C and transfer to Line 3 from Tianxing Station at Zhangxingzhuang Station. Exit D at Tianta Station at 9.51 am. Go out of the station and take his mother's electric car, go to the General Hospital of Tianjin Medical University at 10.03 am, leave at 11.02 am, and leave at 11.10 am; arrive at Xuefu Hospital, because of the self-reported fever, the hospital recommends that he goes to a fever clinic nearby when he leaves at 11.49 am; return to the home of Longjingli Community in Nankai District at 11.55 am; rides his mother’s electric car from 3.53 pm from Longjingli Home in Nankai District to Santan Hospital to make a fever appointment; 17:18-17:38 Anshan Xidaoliu Yinling Meiling Ramen Restaurant; after dinner, return to the home of Longjingli Community in Nankai District; 6.35 pm take the electric car from Longjingli Jiazhong in Nankai District to the B line of Xikang Road Station of Metro Line 3 and transfer to No. 5 at Zhangxingzhuang Station Line to Huaihedao Station and return to home in Beichen District.
Tianjin's covid epidemic prevention and control headquarters has promptly notified China CDC the relevant situation.
According to a report in the Global Times, Huanghe Hospital in Nankai District confirmed that Case 137 received a nucleic acid test at the hospital and the result was positive on Wednesday. He was transferred to Haihe Hospital for covid treatment.
Following the new symptomatic infection, Conrad Hotel has suspended room reservations and facility operations for disinfection work.
According to netizens' tip-offs and online information, seven employees from the hotel went to Beijing recently but they never visited Xinfadi. They have no close contact with the patient.
Yet news of the symptomatic infection has frightened Tianjin residents. They are concerned Tianjin is at risk of a second wave of covid epidemic following Beijing's unexpected outbreak at Xinfadi Market on 11 June.
A Tianjin resident said, "I am concerned that the coronavirus is on the imported seafood, as the man's job is cleaning frozen seafood."
Tianjin CDC have screened 8,103 people who might have been in contact with the Beijing outbreal and throat swabbed 6,465 people working in the cold chain logistics and production of seafood with all negative results.
Tianjin has suspended some cross-regional coach services to Beijing on 16 June to avoid a spread of infection.
As of 18 June 2020, there are five active covid cases in Tianjin, out of a total of 197 cases, including Case 137.189 patients have recovered and discharged while the number of fatalities remains at 3.
