The Beijing Security Bureau officials imposed severe blockades and restrictions on key epidemic areas and personnel. The schedule for nucleic acid testing at Beijing hospitals even takes 3 months per resident. At the same time, all hospitalizations, including critically ill patients, are required to perform nucleic acid testing first, so it is reported that critically ill patients die due to untimely rescue, even the CCP elite is no exception. In addition, due to the closure of some communities in Beijing, the phenomenon of people losing food and vegetables has occurred, and the people complained repeatedly.
The Beijing Municipal Health Commission of the Communist Party of China stated on 18 June that as of 12 am on 18 June, Beijing had newly reported 21 local diagnoses, 3 suspected cases, and 3 asymptomatic infections. This means that from the 11 to 18 June, there have been 158 newly diagnosed cases of local covid (excluding asymptomatic infections).
In view of the fact that the CCP has always concealed the number of confirmed diagnoses and deaths, the outside world believes that the actual number of diagnoses is much higher than the above.
Due to the out-of-control of the Beijing epidemic, large-scale nucleic acid testing has begun in Beijing hospitals. Radio Free Asia reported on 18 June that the various districts in Beijing started on 13 June, and the nucleic acid testing schedules of several suburban hospitals have been scheduled to a week later, and the authorities strictly prohibit the hospitals from providing any test results to reporters. Among them, the Daxing District Hospital revealed that there are currently many people who have been tested and there is no way to do the test in the near future. The staff of Tongzhou District Maternal and Child Health Hospital admitted that the undertaking capacity is limited, and the test within one week has been completed.
Tongzhou District Maternal and Child Health Hospital said to Radio Free Asia, "We put the number within one week, and now it is full, and it will be next Thursday. You will pay attention to it. If there is a refund, you can make an appointment. If it’s average, it’s possible to get results in 12 hours. If there are a lot of people, it may be late. The accuracy is not high? I don’t know this, because our hospital’s ability to accept is limited, so many people can only accept so many people. We can't detect it."
Caixin.com reported on 18 June that the nucleic acid detection schedule of some hospitals in Beijing has reached 3 months later.
According to a doctor at Yanhua Hospital in Fangshan District, Beijing, foreign media reporters said that the number of people who have gone to their hospitals for nucleic acid testing has soared. At least four days have passed. However, people with fever and other symptoms can be detected first through the process of fever consultation but these costs now need to be taken care of.
Yanhua Hospital's fever clinic said, "Where is it free? Where can you get free tests? Which institution are you from? Or which community are you from? Someone reported it to you for free testing only. You have symptoms. It’s different from the ordinary one who just made a nucleic acid. If you have symptoms, you can directly register the number of the fever clinic, and then come to the test. How much? You have to look at the items to be checked, or just check a nucleic acid test option.”
Radio Free Asia reported that on the one hand, Beijing is facing pressure from insufficient nucleic acid detection, and the high cost of isolation and the potentially huge medical expenses have also frightened ordinary citizens in Beijing. In addition, the low accuracy of fast test agents may also lead to accelerated propagation.
Ren Ruihong, a former Chinese Red Cross executive, believes that the current large-scale nucleic acid testing in Beijing is not going well due to resource and technology limitations. The accuracy of the fast test agent is too low has been a big problem, so the authorities are still more reliant on the strict ban to prevent the rapid spread of the virus.
Ren Ruihong said, "Your friend in Beijing sent me a photo of them for testing yesterday, which is full of people. Because it is easy to cross-infect with this test, it is impossible to control this number again. It must not be so fast. Well. In fact, it has always been a problem with its rapid kit, that is, the error rate is very high."
On Wednesday, Beijing has raised the level of public health and safety response to Level 2, but at the same time it is strictly forbidden to leave Beijing, and to urge other people not to leave Beijing unless necessary.
Official documents from the surrounding areas of Beijing, including Shaanxi and Henan, show that in fact, various regions have already set restrictions in full. For example, people returning from Beijing are required to issue a nucleic acid test report within 7 days, and will be quarantined.
According to the requirements of the hospitals in Beijing, any patient or accompanying person who needs to be hospitalized, even in emergency treatment, must undergo nucleic acid testing before being admitted. It is reported that the regulation has caused a large number of severely ill patients with other diseases into a desperate situation or even death. But so far, no hospital dared to count and publish relevant death data.
On 31 May, Ye Daying, the grandson of the late Chinese Communist Party leader Ye Ting, called for help on Weibo, saying that his seriously ill mother once fell into a situation where there was no way to call for help. A netizen from Hunan revealed that his aunt was required to make nucleic acid first because of the hospital's request, leading to her death in time.
In addition, because many communities in Beijing were locked due to the epidemic, many people's food, vegetables, and gas supplies were cut, and their lives were threatened. On 17 June, a distress letter from the residents of Jiaojunyuan Community, Fengtai District, Beijing was spread online.
The distress letter disclosed the plight of the residents of this community. This community is located near the Xinfadi wholesale market. Since the community was closed on 13 June, residents have not received any assistance. Residents cannot go out to shop. Online shopping items cannot be delivered quickly. Some families' food, vegetables, and gas supplies were cut. There was a serious crisis in life, and in desperation, the writer had to ask for help online. Beijing has really become Wuhan in the past, and some netizens said that it was almost a gong.
