According to Wuhan Municipal Health Commission, the 300 asymptomatic patients in the recent city-wide covid detection exercise are diagnosed negative with covid. As a result, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has added Wuhan as a backup first entry point while Shanghai Pudong is no longer listed as a first entry point.

According to the website of CAAC, the Civil Aviation Administration and other five departments jointly issued the "Announcement on International Flights to Beijing Entering from the Designated First Entry Point", and decided based on the changes in the epidemic situation, the destination to be the final entry point for international passenger flights remains Beijing Capital but Pudong was dropped from the first entry point list. Chengdu, Changsha, Hefei and Lanzhou are the other first entry points while Wuhan is the alternate first entry point.

After adjustment, there are 16 first entry points for international passenger flights destined for Beijing. They are Chengdu, Changsha, Hefei, Lanzhou, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Hohhot, Jinan, Qingdao, Nanjing, Shenyang, Dalian, Zhengzhou, Xi'an and Wuhan, of which Wuhan is the backup entry point.

The "Announcement" makes it clear that the designated first point of entry for each airline flight can be checked on the official website of the CAAC and the airlines. Passengers taking the above-mentioned international flights carry out quarantine and go through the entry formalities at the first entry point, and clear the luggage. Passengers who meet the boarding requirements for quarantine can take the original flight into Beijing from the first entry point. The cargo carried in the abdominal compartment is cleared in Beijing. The arrangements for the designated first entry point for international flights destined for Beijing and related measures will be adjusted in accordance with changes in the epidemic situation.

All passengers landing in Beijing continue to be quarantined for 14 days for the monitoring and treatment of covid symptoms and expenses are to be incurred by the passengers themselves.

There are no non-stop scheduled passenger and cargo flights from overseas cities to Beijing.
