According to comprehensive media reports, the Beijing Municipal Center for Disease Prevention & Control (Beijing CDC) on 11 June 2020, a 52-year-old man surnamed Tang in Xicheng District was diagnosed. On 12 June, the Fengtai District of the city announced that there are 2 more people diagnosed and on 13 June, Beijing CDC has announced four new local covid patients in Beijing while National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China (PRC) reports five imported cases of covid in various other Chinese regions.
As of 3 pm on 12 June 2020, more than 43 close contacts are isolated. At present, the three housing estates where the three diagnosed people live have been closed-type management, and the beef and mutton hall of the Xinfadi vegetable market and the Beijing-Shenzhen seafood market in the Fengtai District they have been to have been temporarily closed.
In addition, affected by this, the Fengtai District's primary school students in grades one to three who are scheduled to resume next Monday (15 June) will return to school on a later date. Offline courses and group activities of off-campus training institutions are also suspended.
Pang Xinghuo, Deputy Director of the Beijing CDC, revealed Mr Tang’s trajectory before being diagnosed, referring to Mr Tang's post-trip to the trampoline area, basement and Xinzhongke Restaurant (Dacheng Road Branch) on 31 May at Fengtai District.
On 1 June 2020, Mr Tang drove to Xishan Forest Park before he went to the Xinfadi Convenience Vegetable Shop at the bottom of Building No. 5, Beili, Huaibaishu Street, Xicheng District. On 3 June, he went shopping on the second floor of the Jingkai Hardware Building in Fengtai District, purchased seafood and meat on the basement of the Xinfadi Vegetable Market, went to China Unicom (Changchun Street Business Hall), went shopping on the Shouhang Supermarket (Zhenwu Temple) on 4 June. On 5 June he did not go out. On 6 June, he developed intermittent fever, chills, and fatigue, but he did not have cough, sore throat, and chest tightness. He took cephalosporin and Chinese medicine. He went to West Railway Station Branch to mail items, and then went to the Fanglin Bianmin Vegetable Station in the north of Building 11, Xibianmen Xili to buy vegetables. In the afternoon of 10 June, he went to Xuanwu Hospital's fever clinic. On 11 June, his sample nucleic acid test was positive. Combining lung imaging and blood test results, he was diagnosed covid after expert consultation.
In addition, Fengtai District added two newly diagnosed cases. Both male patients are employees of the China Meat Food Comprehensive Research Center, are from Beijing, and are colleagues. They also work at the China Meat Food Comprehensive Research Center.
Zhang Jie, Deputy Head of Fengtai District in Beijing, pointed out that one of them, surnamed Liu, is 25 years old and lives in Majiabao East Road, Xiluoyuan Street, Fengtai District. He rode a bicycle to the district hospital's fever clinic on 9 June. He had symptoms of sore throat, fever, cough, and runny nose, with a maximum body temperature of 38.6°C. Liu Nan reported that he had been on a business trip to Qingdao, Shandong for 5 days in the past 2 weeks, but he has no history of contact between foreigners and Hubei people. He wore a mask throughout the visit. On 12 June, his sample nucleic acid test was positive, and covid was confirmed by expert consultation.
The other person's surname is Yin, 37 years old. He lives in Jiaomen North Road, Xiluoyuan Street, Fengtai District. He developed itching, phlegm, and slight cough on June 9th. His body temperature was normal and he did not seek medical treatment or medication. On the 12th, at the district level, Yin Nan took a 120 ambulance to the designated hospital in the district for isolation and investigation. The sample nucleic acid test was positive, and the diagnosis of covid was confirmed by expert diagnosis. Yin reported that he had no history of leaving Beijing for the past 2 weeks, and no history of contact with foreigners and Hubei people.
According to Pang Xinghuo, Mr Liu who had traveled from Beijing, went to many wholesale markets in Qingdao, as well as a number of wholesale markets in Beijing, including Dongsiqu agricultural and sideline products wholesale market in Pinggu Town which will be entirely closed temporarily from 14 June 2020.
Here are the details of the four new Beijing covid patients according to Pang Xinghuo on 13 June 2020:
Case 4 is a man, 38 years old, from Xicheng District, Beijing, a company employee, lives in Jiuya Garden, Jiuzhou, Changyang Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. The patient rided a motorcycle to the agricultural wholesale market in Xinfa District on 30 May, 5 and 6 June to purchase goods. Symptoms such as numbness, fever, and headache appeared on 9 June with a maximum body temperature of 38.6°C. On 11 June, he drove to the Shijingshan Hospital's fever clinic. On 12 June, his sample nucleic acid test is positive, and the covid diagnosis is confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is light.
Case 5 is a man, 50 years old, from Baoding, Hebei Province. His working unit and current address are in Xinfadi Frozen Seafood Market, and the driver is also a purchaser. Symptoms such as fever and cough appeared on June 6. At the Beijing Tiantan Hospital on 12 June, his nucleic acid test is positive, and the diagnosis is confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is heavy.
Case 6 is a man, 35 years old, from Baoding, Hebei Province. His working unit and the current address are the fresh seafood market in Xinfadi. He is the salesperson. Symptoms such as fever occurred on June 10, and he was seen at Beijing Tiantan Hospital on 12 June. His nucleic acid test is positive, and the diagnosis is confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is light.
Case 7 is a woman, 27 years old, from Dezhou, Shandong Province. Her working unit is Xinfadi Wholesale Market, self-employed, and now lives in Xinfadi Operators Paradise. Symptoms such as fever and coughing occurred on 9 June, and she visited Beijing Friendship Hospital on 12 June. Her nucleic acid test is positive, and the diagnosis is confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is ordinary.
The above confirmed cases have been sent to the municipal designated hospital for treatment.

On 10 June 2020, Beijing declared that there had been no newly confirmed local cases for 56 consecutive days. However, the CCP's official epidemic data is highly questioned by outsiders.
In response to the recent epidemic in Beijing, on 12 June, the Beijing city and district CDCs have organized professionals to carry out investigations on the agricultural wholesale market and large supermarkets in the city, collecting a total of 5,424 smeared samples of seafood, meat and other foods and external environments.
To complete the nucleic acid detection of SARS-CoV-2, 40 environmentally positive samples were found in the new market, and the remaining agricultural wholesale markets and large supermarkets were negative.
In the active screening of practitioners, nucleic acid detection was performed on 1940 market practitioners. Of the 517 samples collected, 45 are positive for pharyngeal swabs, and another 1 was found positive in a farmers market in Haidian District, a close contact with a newly diagnosed case. The above 46 people have no clinical symptoms and have been included in strict management and observation.
On 13 June, National Health Commission of PRC announced five imported cases of covid, one each in Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan, Guangdong and Sichuan.
