In Beijing, there have been newly diagnosed cases of coronary disease for two consecutive days. Coronavirus has been detected from the cutting board of imported salmon in the local emerging market. Some Chinese media learned that Beijing’s major supermarket companies, such as supermarkets, Wumart and Carrefour, have all removed salmon overnight.

According to the Beijing News, Zhang Yuxi, chairman of the Xinfadi wholesale market in Beijing, revealed during interviews that the relevant local authorities detected the coronavirus from the cutting board of imported salmon, and the source of the product came from the Beijing-Shenzhen Seafood Market. The result of the sampling test was a notice received on the morning of June 12. At present, nine relevant personnel involved in salmon in the new market have been tested for viruses. The results are temporarily negative and are currently in quarantine.

Zhang Yuxi also said that there was no coronavirus found in the spot checks of beef, mutton, pork, vegetables, fruits and related facilities in the new market.

In addition, comprehensive daily economic news and Beijing Daily reported that the official website of the Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Bureau issued a notice on the evening of the 12th, requiring a major food safety inspection.

In terms of key regulatory products and key regulatory objects, we focus on fresh and frozen pork, beef, lamb, chicken and duck meat and other livestock and poultry meat, aquatic products and their products. The operators of aquatic products such as centralized food trading markets, professional frozen and refrigerated warehouses, supermarkets, convenience stores, grocery stores, and catering service units that use large amounts of meat and aquatic products.

In addition, the reporter was informed that Beijing’s major supermarkets, supermarkets, Wumart, and Carrefour have all removed all salmon overnight. Supermarket chain enterprises mainly rely on direct mining in their place of origin, so they can guarantee the stable supply of people's livelihood commodities such as vegetables, fruits, meat, rice noodles and oil in supermarkets.

The relevant person in charge of the supermarket said that the salmon sold in the store was imported from abroad. After learning that the virus was detected in the cutting board of imported salmon, the supermarket took the initiative to remove all the salmon in the store.

According to reports, most fruits and vegetables in supermarkets are directly harvested from the place of origin. Only a small number of small dishes that are not commonly bought by the public will be restocked from the new place. Therefore, after the new place is closed, it will not have much impact on the supermarket. The pork sold in supermarkets is directly supplied by the slaughterhouses designated by Beijing, and beef and mutton are supplied by halal brands such as Yueshengzhai, so meat sales will not be affected.

At present, the supermarket has made emergency transfer preparations with upstream suppliers to ensure the storage of rice, grain, oil and meat. At the same time, due to the temporary closure of the new place, some vegetables that had originally entered the new place need other exports. The supermarket has already received relevant notices and will urgently accept some vegetables from the new place.

Wumart said it had removed all salmon products last night and no longer sells them. In addition, all Wumart products such as pork, beef and mutton, and fresh vegetables are sourced directly from the place of origin to ensure food safety. In order to guarantee the supply, all Wumart stores have prepared all kinds of people's livelihood products, anti-epidemic materials and emergency preparations.

In addition, Carrefour also said that the main fruits and vegetables in the store are mainly from the production area, and are not affected by the market closure of the new place. At present, the supply of goods is sufficient and the price is stable.
