It is reported that Beijing does not have covid cases for 56 consecutive days. However, one of the new covid cases in Beijing has proven the record wrong. Covid symptoms re-appeared in the Chinese capital on 5 June 2020.
According to China CDC, Case 8 among the new covid cases in Beijing has symptoms of covid on 5 June 2020 but the doctor that he consulted did not diagnose his case as covid until 12 June in a local hospital.
Below are the details on the eight new covid patients of Beijing on 14 June 2020 as at 9 pm.
Case 1, a man, 48 years old, from Tangshan, Hebei Province, works in Beijing Xinfadi Market. He lives in Fengtai District. On 12 June, the nucleic acid test was found to be positive in the traceability sampling test of the epidemic situation. On 13 June, he had headache. The diagnosis was confirmed by experts and the clinical classification is light.
Case 2, a man, 27 years old, from Jingyuan, Ningxia, works in Xinfadi Market. He currently lives in the operator's park of Xinfadi, Beijing. On 12 June, the nucleic acid test was found to be positive in the traceability sampling test of the epidemic situation, and the diagnosis was confirmed by experts, and the clinical classification is light.
Case 3, a man, 42 years old, from Baoding, Hebei Province, works in Beijing Xinfadi Market. He lives in Pangezhuang Town, Daxing District. On 12 June, the nucleic acid test was found to be positive in the traceability sampling test of the epidemic situation, and the diagnosis was confirmed by experts, and the clinical classification is light.
Case 4, a woman, 47 years old, from Gu'an, Hebei, works for China Pacific Insurance Co., Ltd. She lives in Huangcun Town, Daxing District. On 3 June, she went to the Xinfadi market for purchase. On 11 June, she developed fever and other symptoms. On 12 June, she went to the Daxing District People's Hospital. The nucleic acid test was positive. After expert consultation, he was diagnosed as a confirmed case. The clinical classification is ordinary.
Case 5, a man, 57 years old, Anxin, Hebei, works in Yuquandong Market. He lives in Yongding Road, Haidian District. Symptoms such as chills appeared on 10 June. On 13 June, he actively informed the community prevention and control team. From 12 June, he was sent to Haidian Hospital for a fever diagnosis. The nucleic acid test was positive, and the diagnosis was confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is ordinary.
Case 6, a man, 37 years old, from Henan, works for Beijing Honghua Dahaiwan Catering Management Co., Ltd. He lives in Lujiaying, Chaoyang District, Beijing. On 4 June, he went shopping at Xinfadi Market. On 8 June, uncomfortable symptoms appeared. He was successively diagnosed at Yujingge Clinic and Youan Hospital, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case by expert consultation. The clinical classification is ordinary.
Case 7, a woman, is a close contact person of Case 6, 35 years old, from Hebei, and she works for Beijing Honghua Dawan Bowl Catering Company. She lives in Qinglongqiao Street, Haidian District. Symptoms such as fever occurred on 12 June. She went to the Youan Hospital for treatment. The nucleic acid test was positive, and the diagnosis was confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is ordinary.
Case 8, a man, 56 years old, from Xicheng, Beijing, works for Beijing Civil Aviation Airport Bus Company. He currently lives in Yongning Hutong, Xicheng District. On 3 June, he went to the Xinfadi Market for purchase. On 5 June, he developed fatigue and headache, and on 12 June, he developed fever. The highest temperature was 38℃. On 12 June, he was treated in Xuanwu Hospital, People's Hospital and Haidian Hospital successively. The nucleic acid test was positive, and the diagnosis was confirmed by experts. The clinical classification is ordinary.
According to a late statement of Beijing Civil Aviation Airport Bus Company at 4 pm on 14 June 2020, Case 8 has not been driving any airport bus since 26 January 2020. He has remained at home due to the anti-epidemic policy. The company claims that he has not come into contact with any tourist and other employees.
