According to The Phnom Penh Post, The Ministry of Health of Cambodia issued a notice that a confirmed case of covid was found in the country, and 62 passengers on the same plane were isolated and observed.
This is more than a month since Cambodia announced that no confirmed cases of covid were found on 13 April 2020.
The notice stated that the infected person was a 26-year-old Cambodian man from Kampot Province, transferred from the Philippines to South Korea, and arrived at Phnom Penh International Airport at 10 pm on 20 May 2020. 62 other passengers who arrived on the same plane as him, including South Korea, Belgium, Taiwan, China, the Netherlands, Japan and Cambodia, received medical observations at government-specified hotels.
On 23 January 2020, Cambodia found the first confirmed case of covid. Since then, a total of 122 patients were diagnosed positive in Cambodia, and the last patient was cured on 16 May 2020.
