The outside world is worried about whether Wuhan can completed virus testing in 10 days and whether the test results will be truthfully announced.
Hong Kong's "Apple Daily" quoted online news on 16 May 2020 that in only two days, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Wuhan Polytechnic University have detected a large number of SARS-CoV-2 positives. 121 cases were found in Wuhan University alone, but these did not appear in the official notification of confirmed cases.
Among them, the internal notice dated 14 May 2020 of Wuhan University’s School of Life Sciences revealed that among the 5,100 tests conducted by Wuhan University, 7 were positive for nucleic acids, 9 were double positive for antibodies, 24 were single positive for IgM antibodies and 81 were positive for IgG. Because the epidemic prevention situation is still grim, the college decided to postpone the return to work until next week.

However, the positive numbers of these three universities did not appear in the data of confirmed cases reported daily by the National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China.
According to Wuhan frontline doctors and officials, it was reported earlier that antibody detection is more reliable than nucleic acid detection, but officials have ordered that only positive nucleic acid tests can be included in "confirmed cases", and must be positive nucleic acid tests and clinically confirmed symptoms. Patients who have not been confirmed by clinical examination, even if the nucleic acid test is positive, can only be regarded as "asymptomatic infected people", not in the "confirmed cases" officially notified.
More critically, even if it fully complies with the official "confirmed diagnosis" standard, whether it will be included in the officially confirmed data of the official public notification will still have to go through a "political review" by the authorities. The outside world ridicules that the confirmed data released by the CCP is a "joke".
According to the calculation of the notice from the School of Life Sciences of Wuhan University, the positive rate of detection in Wuhan is about 2.4% (121/5100).
However, according to a report by the media Caixin website on 12 May, about 5-6% of the 11,000 sero-epidemiological sample surveys conducted by Wuhan in April were positive for antibodies. According to this estimate, among the 11 million people in Wuhan, about 600,000 can be detected.
