The public is deeply concerned about the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 and the P4 laboratory of the Wuhan Institute of Viology (WIV). After a French newspaper revealed the sealing problem of the Wuhan P4 laboratory in 2019, the US media National Broadcasting Company (NBC) programme NBC News disclosed an analysis report that the laboratory had no mobile phone activity in October 2019 or was closed due to a "hazardous event" but the news of the incident has not been confirmed externally.
On 8 May 2020, NBC News quoted three people familiar with the report that US and UK intelligence agencies were reviewing an unofficial analysis report. The report found that Wuhan’s high-security laboratory for researching coronaviruses may have been shut down in October 2019 after intelligence agencies tracked mobile location data.
The NBC agency in London saw the report. The analysis of the report pointed out that there is no mobile phone activity in a heavily guarded area of the WIV from 7 October to 24 October 2019 and a "hazardous event" may have occurred between 6 October and 11 October 2019.
The report said that the phone data came from the private mobile phones of some employees of the institute. Who are these employees?
Regarding the source of the above report, the report mentions that the cover of the report contains the words "MACE E-PAI COVID-19 ANALYSIS", but NBC is not certain what this means. It is not known who the original reporter "E-PAI ODIN" is.

This report states the mobile phone in WIV was used from August to 6 October 2019, only to be taken out of WIV from 6 to 24 October 2019. It was eventually returned to WIV on 25 October 2019. It mentions the device "is likely to belong to a security guard" (of WIV).
Examining the report further, the mobile phone was again used from 24 to 30 November 2019 within WIV P4 laboratory and another unidentified building with WIV. After this period, it arrived on the hands of "a member of the Emerging Infectious Disease team and Duke-NUS in Singapore". Duke-NUS refers to Duke-NUS Medical School. At this time, it cannot be confirmed that Duke-NUS Medical School has a working relationship with WIV currently.
The Timeline events listed in the report suggest the pandemic began "earlier than initially reported" and "supports the release of COVID-19 at the Wuhan Institute of Virology". Could patient zero be from WIV?

The above Timeline, according to NBC, includes an international conference held in the lower-security portion of WIV, the International Workshop on Biosafety Laboratory Management and Techniques, from 3 to 9 November 2019, to address bioethics and biosafety / biosecurity policies. The end of that workshop is one week before the first covid patient is recorded on 17 November 2019, according to a CCP internal document cited by South China Morning Post. However, the Hong Kong newspaper reports that this patient is not patient zero.
The report also reveals that WebChat and other PRC social media received "official guideline and specific directives on how to handle COVID-19 as early as Dec 2019." It is a known fact that these social media in PRC have expanded censorship on novel coronavirus-related content on and after 31 December 2019.
However, mainstream media such as Xinhua News Agency and Hubei Daily still retain novel coranavirus-related content as far back as 26 September 2019 when Hubei Daily is the first CCP media to mention "novel coronavirus infection" in the Wuhan Tianhe International Airport Emergency Response Exercise during the launch trial of the Wuhan Military Games special channel for foreign athletes at the airport on 18 September 2019.
In the People's Republic of China (PRC), the name of the virus SARS-CoV-2 is "novel coronavirus" while the official name of the disease COVID-19 is "novel coronavirus pneumonia". StayGate has shortened COVID-19 to covid in many news translations and reports because it is understood the disease emerges in PRC in 2019.
If the pandemic first happened in October 2019 according to the report, patient zero of covid should be traced back to before October 2019 and not in October 2019 as the onset of covid symptoms on an asymptomatic patient or a symptomatic patient can take as long as 14 days to a month or longer.
U.S. intelligence officials said the evidence in the mobile phone data may not be sufficient. Analysts are collecting and inspecting more private cell phone location data, as well as satellite images of the virus, to find clues to determine whether the laboratory has abnormalities.
US intelligence officials said that because the Wuhan Laboratory is a high-security facility for studying high-risk pathogens in hostile countries, it has long been the target of many US intelligence agencies. The data collected by intelligence agencies includes mobile phone signals, communication interception and satellite images.
The report said that the analysis report only mentioned the abnormal location of the mobile phone, and did not give direct evidence of the closure of the laboratory, nor did it mention evidence of virus leakage in the laboratory. However, if the laboratory does shut down suddenly, it may become indirect evidence of the SARS-CoV-2 leakage.
A few days ago, the US Intelligence Director’s Office stated that he agreed that SARS-CoV-2 is not artificial, but will investigate whether it came from the Wuhan laboratory accident. US President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo strongly suggested that the virus SARS-CoV-2 came from the Wuhan laboratory. Trump even bluntly stated that the China Communist Party "made a terrible mistake" and said it would release a "powerful report" at a certain time.
US Senator Cotton said that the Wuhan P4 laboratory collects, stores, and studies bat coronaviruses in large numbers. So the comments "viral non-artificial" and "leakage from the laboratory" are not contradictory.
Coincidentally, while the US media reported that the Wuhan laboratory may have been closed for a while, the French newspaper "Le Figaro" also quoted the news that the Wuhan P4 laboratory may have a sealing problem recently. This is supported by the evidence that China bought anticoagulants in the international market for storage in December 2019.
Another coincidence is that the above analysis report by "E-PAI ODIN" refers. The period of time when there is no mobile phone activity in WIV is from 7 October to 24 October 2019 while the time when Wuhan holds the World Military Games is from 18 October to 27 October 2019. After the international community suspected WIV, the CCP began to manipulate public opinion to create rumours that "American soldiers are spreading the virus at the Military Games." However, Zhang Dingyu, the chief physician and Hospital Head of Jinyintan Hospital, that treated the five foreign athletes, American soldiers, told Southern Weekly, subsequently reported by CCP newspaper Global Times, that these patients suffer from malaria, and not covid.
After the virus outbreak in Wuhan, the CCP sent military biochemical weapons expert Chen Wei to Wuhan on 26 January 2020 to take over the Wuhan P4 laboratory. After that, Xi Jinping publicly emphasized "biosecurity", and several ministries issued official documents one after another, requesting for "strengthening the virus laboratory management."
Chen Wei's first vaccine to combat SARS-CoV-2 was revealed to media in late March 2020 at WIV.
In April 2020, Bai Chunli, the Dean of the Chinese Academy of Sciences issued an official press release to the CCP journal Banner. He wrote, "Improper disposal of biological laboratory wastes and animals, infection and leakage of pathogenic microorganisms occur from time to time".
Bai added, "The shortcomings of the scientific and technological infrastructure need to be rectified quickly." He said the Chinese Academy of Sciences will strengthen the overall layout and enhance the overall strength of scientific and technological research in the field of biosecurity, and strive to build a national biosecurity governance system and improve governance capabilities.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences holds the ownership of WIV.
