Netizens exposed a bill allegedly from Ditan Hospital in Beijing. Patients diagnosed with "viral pneumonia" were charged a staggering fee. They suspect the hospital has covered up the Wuhan pneumonia epidemic.
The seven patients ranged in age from 67 to 84. The earliest date of consultation is 31 January 2020, and the latest is 3 March 2020 showing that this should be a computer screen shot on or after 3 March. In the "diagnosis" column of 7 people, except for one patient who showed "respiratory failure", the rest were diagnosed with "viral pneumonia".
Among them, except for a patient who was treated on 3 March, about 10,000 RMB was charged, the other people paid up to six digits. The highest was the patient who was treated on 31 January, 676,000 RMB.
However, all patient deposits are shown as zero, the balance and total cost are the same, indicating that the patient has not yet paid. In the "Patient Type" column, all of them are "TBD" except for one that says "Medical Health Insurance does not carry a card."
Authorities announced at the end of January that the medical expenses of patients diagnosed with Wuhan pneumonia "after the basic medical insurance, critical illness insurance, medical assistance, etc. were paid according to regulations, the government finance will subsidize the personal burden". Some people understand it as "free treatment for diagnosed patients", but many netizens suspect that "the first payment after settlement" suggests that the "free treatment" is just CCP's empty promise.
Today, this screenshot raises questions about two things: Is the hospital replacing "Wuhan pneumonia" with "viral pneumonia", and does it mean that patients are unable to get subsidies?
Earlier, Ms. Wu, a Beijing citizen, told Voice of Hope Radio overseas that she heard news that relevant departments went to Ditan Hospital to check the medical records. The hospital sent 120 patients to the Second Ring Road to conceal the number of novel coronavirus cases. The inspector left and pulled back. These patients were later transferred and were not counted in that hospital's COVID-19 case data.
StayGate's Notes:
Wuhan pneumonia is 武汉肺炎. Wuhan virus is 武汉病毒.
Viral pneumonia is 病毒性肺炎.
As of 9 March 2020, Beijing has become the second-hardest COVID-19-hit city with 105 positive cases and a total of 428 confirmed cases including 8 deaths. 315 patients have recovered. Third is Guangdong which shows the tremendous record of 1260 patent recoveries out of 1352 confirmed cases.
Hubei has a total of 67743 cases, of which 18251 are positive cases and 3007 deaths. 46485 patients have recovered
