According to Lianhe Zaobao, as of 1 May 2020 6 pm, there are 91,589 covid cases diagnosed in Brazil, an increase of 6209 cases from the previous day and an additional 6329 deaths.
The total number of cases in São Paulo, the city most affected by the pandemic, has exceeded 30,000, and the total number of cases in Rio de Janeiro has exceeded 10,000. Several Brazilian cities have begun to take tougher measures to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
